The Stirring Story Of Hoobah Boobah Independence

It is the year 937 A.D. For a thousand years the Hoobah Boobah people have yearned for independence from Antarctica. They form an army under the leadership of Ralph the Fearless, a warrior chieftan who has become head of the resistance against Antarctican rule. The army marches southward; eventually they reach a vast frozen tundra. They march thousands of kilometers in all directions, searching for the main Antarctican army.

The march in search of the Antarctican enemies lasts nearly 25 years. Starvation, disease, and cold take a terrible toll on the Hoobah Boobah military force. (A great epic poem about this 2 and a half decade-long march will be written afterwards by Eearch Grochneeegoidan, one of the greatest figures of Hoobah Boobah literature). Finally, Ralph and his inner circle of advisors come to the terrible realization that there is no Antarctican army -- Hoobah Boobah Land could have been independent all along if they'd only realized the rest of Antarctica was unpopulated. The populace of Hoobah Boobah land wails in despair, then holds a six month-long celebration. The Kingdom of Hoobah Boobah Land is officially founded in 962 A.D., and Ralph the Fearless is coronated Ralph I, His Most Royal Highness, King of All Hoobah Boobahns.

Next...a timeline of Hoobah Boobah history!
